al-109630
Abstrata Dining Table

The Abstrata table shows the essence of Joaquim Tenreiro’s style with the asymmetrical shape of its top and base giving it a sense of controlled imbalance. Its materials, especially iron, accentuate the modernity of the piece.

It was designed by Tenreiro for an apartment in Rio de Janeiro in 1958. He made a few versions, each with a unique geometry. The houses he furnished, often designed by the great names of modernist architecture such as Oscar Niemeyer, Lucio Costa, or Sérgio Bernardes, put him in direct dialogue with the future-facing architects and their visions.

We offer two versions of the Abstrata table slightly varying in size and in colour.

Literature:
A.
