The translucent geometrical elements created by hand sawing two square forms into the bowls surface create a three-dimensional illusion to the otherwise plain and functional bowl. Made from a single sheet of copper, the simple, substantial and serene form of the bowl is ‘interrupted’ by visually complex, open and delicate structures. The essence is in the dialogue, tension or collision that happens in that meeting point.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eAll her pieces are pierced out by hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eAne Christensen grew up in Copenhagen and moved to London in 1993 to study a HND (Jewellery Design) at Sir John Cass Faculty of Art. She went on to work as an assistant for two designer silversmiths and completed her MA (Metalwork \u0026amp; Silversmithing) at the Royal College of Art, before establishing her practise in 1999.
