{"product_id":"wp-303408","title":"Ghost Bowl","description":"\u003cdiv\u003e\n\nThis bowl is from Ane Christensen’s ‘Ghost’ series which is based on a series of line drawings. The translucent geometric elements interrupting the bowls surface are created by hand sawing the bowls surface. These ‘linear interruptions’ generate an unexpected layer of three-dimensional to the otherwise plain and functional bowl. Made from a single sheet of copper, the simple, heavy and calm form of the bowl is elevated by Christensen’s visually complex, open and delicate structures. The essence is in the dialogue, tension or collision that happens in that meeting point.\n\nAll her pieces are pierced out by hand.\n\nAne Christensen grew up in Copenhagen and moved to London in 1993 to study a HND (Jewellery Design) at Sir John Cass Faculty of Art. She went on to work as an assistant for two designer silversmiths and completed her MA (Metalwork \u0026amp; Silversmithing) at the Royal College of Art, before establishing her practise in 1999.
